01

The problem

Local information exists. It is not connected.

People and organisations depend on scattered channels that were never designed to provide a reliable, location-specific view of what is happening now.

Fragmented discovery

Businesses, services and events are spread across social posts, messages, directories and word of mouth.

Unverified information

People often cannot distinguish an official alert from an outdated or inaccurate community post.

Untargeted communication

Agencies and utilities lack a unified way to reach the people affected in a specific area.

Limited measurement

Businesses and institutions struggle to understand whether local communication produced engagement.

02

The platform

One network. Five purpose-built experiences.

Each portal serves a distinct user while contributing to one trusted location-intelligence ecosystem.

Governed publishing

Role-based workflows separate ordinary listings from authorised alerts and notices.

06

Jamaica first, Caribbean by design

Built for a market the global platforms do not serve well.

JATLAS is built for Jamaica first, because the problem is sharpest here and because a trusted local-information network has to be understood locally before it can be exported. Parish-level geography, Jamaican institutions, local business practice and the way people already share information are the design inputs, not an afterthought added to a product designed somewhere else.

The same conditions hold across much of the Caribbean and other emerging markets: concentrated populations, fragmented local information, high mobile use and public institutions that need to reach a specific area rather than a whole country. Expansion follows validated Jamaican pilots, market by market, rather than being attempted in parallel.

Local geography

Parish, community and corridor-level targeting rather than national or city-only coverage.

Local institutions

Designed around the agencies, utilities and operators that actually publish notices here.

Local business reality

Verification and listing models that suit small and informal operators, not only large chains.

Portable model

One platform and one operating model, adapted per market rather than rebuilt.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Is JATLAS publicly available?

Not yet. The platform is built and is in deployment preparation, which covers production migration, security validation and Jamaican pilots. We are inviting pilot partners and investors now.

Who is JATLAS for?

Five connected portals serve five groups: people discovering what is happening around them, businesses that want to be found, event organisers, public agencies and utilities that need to reach a specific area, and the administration team that keeps the network verified.

Why start with events?

Events solve the cold-start problem that kills most listings platforms. They create a reason to open the application on a specific night, which builds the audience that makes business listings valuable.

How is information on JATLAS verified?

Everything published carries a verification state, from a community report through a verified business to an official agency notice. Businesses are verified before they can publish, agencies apply for publishing rights, and moderation queues sit behind the public feed.

How is JATLAS different from a global map or listings app?

Targeting works at parish, community and corridor level rather than national or city-only coverage. Verification and listing models suit small and informal operators rather than only large chains. The alerting side is designed around the Jamaican agencies and utilities that actually publish notices.

Is JATLAS only for Jamaica?

Jamaica first. The same conditions hold across much of the Caribbean and other emerging markets, and expansion follows validated Jamaican pilots, market by market, rather than being attempted in parallel.

How can a business, event organiser or agency take part?
